A dedicated team of professionals provides a wide range of support programs and services, including:

EarlyON Child and Family Centres

EarlyON Child and Family Centres provide opportunities for children from birth to 6 years of age to participate in play and inquiry-based programs, and support parents and caregivers in their roles.

Halton Region Child Care Centres

Services for Children with Special Needs

The Parent Infant Program supports:

  • children, ages birth to five, who are at risk for a developmental delay or have a developmental delay.
  • Inclusion Services supports children, ages two to school entry, who are attending licensed child care and meet eligibility criteria related to developmental delays.
  • Family and Community Behavioural Services provides behavioural services for individuals 2 - 21 years of age who have a diagnosis of a developmental disability.

Child Care Subsidy

Child care subsidy, or financial assistance with the cost of child care, is available to eligible families who are working, attending school, or looking for work. Get more information on Child Care Subsidy.

Supports for Parents

The Halton Region offers a wide variety of programs and services for families to support healthy child development and positive parenting, starting in preconception/pregnancy through raising teenagers. EarlyON Child and Family Centres

Effective January 1, 2018, Ontario Early Years Centres (OEYC) will be known as EarlyON Child and Family Centres, or EarlyON.

New look, same quality services

EarlyON centres will continue to be places where parents and caregivers of children up to six years can:

  • participate with their children in a range of programs and activities
  • get information and support they are looking for, to raise happy and healthy children
  • get guidance from qualified child care professionals about child development, activities and resources
  • network with other parents and caregivers in the community
