Adult Day Programs

Halton Region provides three adult day programs for clients with physical disabilities, frail health and dementia or other cognitive impairments. Our programs offer social, cognitive and recreational programs in an engaging environment. Assistance and supervision with personal care, as well as caregiver respite, support and education are also provided.



Silver Creek Place Adult Day Program is located in Georgetown, and is designed to accommodate 15 clients on weekdays and eight clients on Saturday. Our Georgetown program is available Monday to Saturday.


Two adult day programs are offered in Milton:

  • Milton Place Adult Day Program is designed to accommodate 20 clients per day.
  • Friends Landing Adult Day Program is designed to accommodate eight clients per day in a secured setting. Our Milton programs are available Monday to Friday.

We provide:

  • a variety of therapeutic, cognitive, social and recreational programs
  • assistance with personal care, meal time and mobility needs
  • a full meal at lunchtime and refreshments in the morning and afternoon
  • special diets to meet clients' nutritional needs
  • hairdressing and barbering services in Milton (additional fee)

A large variety of activities is available to help meet each client's needs. Our programs include:

  • reminiscence groups
  • current event discussions
  • musical programs
  • special events
  • exercise programs
  • educational sessions
  • footcare (additional fee)

Fees for Service

Effective March 1, 2017, the fee for all programs is $20.46 per day. The client is invoiced for all days registered in the day program. Clients will not be invoiced for days when the program is closed (for example, inclement weather, statutory holidays).
