On October 8, 2013 Halton Region hosted the Halton Drug Strategy Community Forum. Over 150 individuals attended representing over 30 sectors from across Halton Region.

What was the purpose of the community forum?

  • The first step in the development of a “made in Halton” comprehensive drug strategy that looks to:
    • Prevent, reduce and eliminate the stigma and harms associated with substance use.
    • Improve access to community services.
    • Ensure services are well-informed and of the highest quality.
  • To identify priorities and produce a few tangible, attainable goals to be achieved collaboratively
