Next week, May 1 to 7, is Halton’s annual Physician Appreciation Week. I’m proud to recognize doctors in Halton for their efforts to keep residents safe and healthy through quality treatment and preventative care. Thank you for your incredible work in supporting the health of residents.
Halton Region Public Health supports physicians in providing up-to-date treatment and prevention information on communicable diseases, pregnancy, postpartum and parenting support, and helping residents make healthy lifestyle choices. Every year, we host numerous public health education sessions for physicians across Halton to update them on how to prevent, diagnose and manage key public health issues affecting their patients.
By continuing to support physicians in our growing community, we are able to ensure that the knowledge and tools needed to protect the health of patients are accessible and up-to-date. Through this commitment, residents are provided with the best care possible, now and in the future.
