Halton Region is once again a Greater Toronto Top Employer (external link) and recognized as one of Canada’s Best Employers for Recent Graduates (external link).
We are honoured to receive this recognition for the 13th year. We have an incredible team of over 3,100 professionals delivering critical services to our community supported by a positive work culture and values.
The annual competition (external link) reviews submissions from both the public and private sector and is based on a wide range of criteria, including workplace policies and culture, comprehensive benefit packages and professional training opportunities. This year, the selection committee noted our mental health and wellness programs, and benefits for new parents and retirees.
We also invest in people who strive to make a positive difference in our community. I am proud of our summer student and internship programs that help young professionals gain meaningful work experience. Many graduates have gone on to full-time roles at the Region or found meaningful work in the public sector!
