Sep 07, 2023

Halton Region offers waste management services that make it easy and convenient to manage your household waste. This fall, I encourage you to explore the services and events offered to you. By participating in programs such as the Blue Box, Green Cart and Yard Waste collection, we can help minimize community waste.

Yard waste reminders

Our seasonal yard waste program will continue through the fall until the second week of December. Here are some tips on how to properly dispose of your yard waste:

Do not place grass, sod and dirt in your yard waste. It is beneficial to leave the clippings on your grass as it provides valuable nutrients to your lawn.

  • Plastic and glass containers should be rinsed and dried before recycling.
