May 14, 2024
Join us for paramedic day!

We are hosting our annual Paramedic Day on May 25 to celebrate all that our paramedics do to keep us healthy and safe! This free, fun family event takes place rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Woodlands Operations Centre (1179 Bronte Road (Google Maps link)) in Oakville.

There will be activities for people of all ages:

  • Meet members of our Paramedic Services team
  • Climb on board emergency vehicles
  • Check out the tactical paramedic gear
  • Learn the basics of CPR
  • Enjoy children’s activities including bouncy castles, face painting and crafts
  • Get a bite to eat from local food vendors

Quick facts about our highly skilled medical professionals

Every year, Halton Paramedics respond to more than 50,000 calls and transport nearly 30,000 people, treating patients on the scene and on the way to the hospital. They also deliver vital community programs including the Community Paramedicine Program in partnership with other health agencies and lifesaving and emergency training for residents and businesses across Halton.

Thank you to our paramedics for providing critical medical care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your efforts help keep Halton a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire.

Paramedic Services Week is May 19 to 25 and I look forward to celebrating with you at Paramedic Day! For more information about Paramedic Day and Halton’s Paramedic Services, visit halton.ca/paramedics.
