Product Review Committee

The Product Review Committee provides a formal process for Halton Region staff to review new equipment and material, and make informed decisions about products that may be used for Regional purposes.

The purpose of Halton Region’s Product Review Committee is to:

  • review all new equipment and material for design purposes, equipment replacement, and new equipment installations at Regional sites such as the water and wastewater treatment plants, bio-solids storage facilities and the landfill;
  • recommend acceptance or rejection of the new equipment or material;
  • forward its recommendation to the Management Team for final approval;
  • include all approved equipment and material in the Region’s Approved Equipment List;
  • recommend removing products from the Approved Equipment List, if necessary.
