  • Halton Region’s Adult Day Programs benefit frail/elderly adults with disabilities or cognitive impairment (Alzheimer’s or dementia) living in the community. The program offers social and recreational programs in an engaging environment. Assistance and supervision with personal care, as well as caregiver respite, support and education is also provided.

    Locations

    Silver Creek Place

    A new adult day program opened in Georgetown for Halton Hills residents in October 2009.  this program is of benefit to community based seniors and adults with disabilities who may require mental and social stimulation, or require assistance and/or supervision with their activities of daily living, or who have caregivers who require daytime support service.

    Milton Place

    Milton Place is an Adult Day Program designed to accommodate 20 clients per day. This program would be of benefit to community based seniors and adults with disabilities who may require mental and social stimulation, or require assistance and/or supervision with their activities of daily living, or who have caregivers who require daytime support service.

    Friends Landing

    Friends Landing is an Adult Day Program for the cognitively impaired, designed to accommodate eight clients per day. This program would be of benefit to cognitively impaired, community based adults/seniors who may prefer a small group setting, or exhibit wandering or exit seeking behaviour and require a secured setting or who have caregivers who require daytime support service.

    Fees for Service

    Effective April 1, 2016 the fee for both programs is $20.06 per day. The Participant is invoiced for all days registered in the Day Program. Participants will not be invoiced for days when the program is closed (i.e.: inclement weather, statutory holidays).
