Prime Minister Trudeau makes housing announcement in Halton Region

On April 24, we had the honour of hosting Prime Minister Trudeau, Minister Fraser and Minister Anand as they made a housing announcement highlighting 2024 Budget measures focused on building homes on public lands.

As part of Halton’s Comprehensive Housing Strategy, we are creating new assisted and supportive housing units on lands owned by Halton Region. With construction underway, projects in stages of pre-development, and a strong commitment to deliver housing-enabling infrastructure, we are ready to deliver more assisted housing opportunities to increase housing supply.
